A Family History

In 1887, coming from Zévio, a small village in the Verona province, northern Italy, Marcelino Brandelli arrived in Bento Gonçalves. As all immigrants, at first, he survived on the rudimentary agriculture of that period and simultaneously started to grow grapevines, making wine for the family consumption.

In 1946, Cezar, Marcelino's son, with his family, bought trirty hectares of land located in Oito da Graciema, where they consolidated the production of grapes and wine, very much appreciated by the neighbors and friends. This tradition and art were transmited from father to son.

Laurindo, Cezar's son, perfected his knowledge, making superior wines from fine grape variety, with the help of his sons Ademir, Adelar, Alfonso and Márcio. In 1991, Laurindo joined his sons and decided to institutionalize the sales of their wine, establishing VINHOS DON LAURINDO LTDA, a company made up of family members only.
